The life and times of Gabe... for now

My name is actually Jorge Zamora, but since we're friends, you may call me Gabe.  I am a 23 year-old journalism senior at the University of Texas at Arlington. 

I hope to one day pursue a career in the communications area, be it journalism, editing, photojournalism, marketing, public relations or advertising.  I take pride in all that I do, and own the less than perfect.

I have lived with diabetes for 16 years now, and I have to say that it has helped shape who I am today.  Being a busy person, it has become more than routine and it truly a part of everything I do.  While I have never let it bring me down, it has always helped bring more to the table.

Working in the service industry has given me the opportunity to mingle with some fascinating people, and has also helped me develop a very curious attitude towards the world.  Finding out more and understanding your audience is key when developing anything.

Originally from Austin, Texas, but I have lived within the DFW area for the vast majority of my life.  While I would love to travel, I think I fit in quite well where I am at the moment.

I enjoy things that question the norm and push the boundaries. Facts can be interesting, but a great story will always be more entertaining.
