Brewed perfection, "love runs Deep"

DEBC is the place to be

The Deep Ellum Brewing Company.  There is still so much to the story than just what we were able to sum up in the span of a YouTube video.  Amazing craft beer, awesome people, good music, great food, interesting process and just an all-around badass experience.  Who knew something so cool was right in our backyard?

No gimmicks at the DEBC, it really tastes as awesome as it looks.  The artwork has the ability to draw people in, but the contents within the can are what keep bringing people back.  The atmosphere during the tours is another thing that is hard to capture.  You can see the people having a good time, but it really felt like a family get-together more than a tour as strangers convened and conversed about beer.

A fan is born

I truly was not expecting to find a new favorite beer while gathering all of the pieces of the story, but I’m happy to say that it happened.  I am always looking for ways to merge my love for beer with work (within the legal realm of course).  While working on this piece with my group, we had the opportunity to visit the brewery a few times and drink some Deep Ellum brew.  After tasting the beers they had to offer I ventured out on my own to try more.  Double Brown Stout, that’s all you need to know.

This was also one of the coolest things that I’ve had the opportunity to take part in.  Watching the bottling and canning process while learning how beer is made was enlightening and extremely fascinating.  I could definitely see another story on just the beer making process.  Sort of makes me want to try my hand at it, but it would take years before I could reach the same level of the Deep Ellum boys.

Let’s drink to that

If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing the teasers that led up to the feature, head on over to my twitter @Zamora_Gabe to see what you missed.  What’s your favorite brew or what do you think of the Deep Ellum Brewing Co.?  Let me know in the comments, and of course be sure to check out the DEBC website and like them on Facebook.  Remember, support your local brewery and drink less, but drink better as Jeremy and Zack would tell you!
